Let's Get Readin'

Damn right I am sure. Finally we begin.
It's been a long and lazy start for me here, but I have finally found the spark I needed to get this thing going right. Phillybookclub.org officially begins Thursday March 11th, 2004 so put your reading glasses on my friends. As has been posted here for over a month, our first book with be The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. Since most of you already know this, and have read the book, I decided that two weeks will be ample time for review (and in my case reading the book). For those few who have not yet read the novel, I have been informed that it is a relatively quick read and once picked up, quite difficult to put down.

So here is how things will work. This post signifies the official start. We will meet on Thursday, March 11th. The tentative time is 8:00pm. The place however still remains undetermined. I am going to do some research over the next week and find out if there are any actual venues that will host us. If that does not work, I am thinking of hosting the discussion at my apartment (center city Philly). If anyone has suggestions, please feel free to email me!

Ok, so I think that does it. All of you who can attend should send me an email confirming that this day and tentative time is good. I will post again in a few days with everyone who can make it. I am also going to post discussion questions as we approach the meet date. These will hopefully foster a lively start to what is sure to be a great first meeting.
