Philly Book Club: Location

How to JOIN

  • In order to join the book club, you will need to email me. You can do this quite easily by clicking on the "email me" link below. In your email make sure to include your name and any other info you think I should have about you. Oh, and since this is the Philly Book Club, it stands to reason that you should be located in, or around Philadelphia so you can easily attend the discussions.

Location

Hello all!

I wanted to post quickly about the location for Wednesday's meeting.  I was thinking about having it again at Empyrean, but every night that I walk by it is closed.  That worries me so I have decided to hold the meeting at Matt and Rob's place.  We met there for A Curious Incident and it worked out great.  I will bring some snacks and provide coffee.  If anyone wants to bring anything, please feel free.  Let's do the usual meet time of 8:00pm.  Luckily, there is plenty of parking in their neighborhood so people won't be pulling their hair out trying to find a spot!  I will be emailing their address around because I am sure they don't really want that posted on the internet.  Instead of posting discussion questions this month I have decided to enlist the help of the whole group.  For those of you attending the meeting, I was hoping that you could each bring your own discussion question.  I got a really interesting email from another Liz who runs a book club in Long Beach Island.  She said that she has scoured the internet for discussion questions on Running with Scissors and has come up empty handed.  I too have scoured and found nothing.  Her meeting for the book is on February 4th and she wants to provide her group with a framework for their meeting. I told her that our group would come up with questions and then pass them on to her group.  If no one can come up with anything, then I thought we could try to come up with the questions during the meeting.  Either way, I would like to have something to give to their group because  I thought it would be interesting to see how another group would react to our questions.

Ok, well I will email the address and if anyone has any questions please feel free to email or call me.

HAPPY READING!

See you all Wednesday.
